The High-Risk Borrower: A Review and Approach

Produced June, 2018 while working in the ECMC Innovation Lab. A review of the current scholarship on student debt repayment in America with an eye toward better understanding the forces that create the "high-risk" borrower; a sub-segment of the overall borrower population uncovered by past research conducted by lab. This work was part of a fundamental research program scoped by the Lab seeking to understand what causes create the "high-risk" borrower segment so those causes could eventually be mitigated by new technology development.
